“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” Ansel Adams
The aim of this site is to help you 'make' great landscapes. I've been taking landscape photos for years but only recently discovered the magic that is the digital workflow of LightroomCC. Here I will share my approach, my workflow and a number of the techniques I have used to achieve what you can see on Instagram @up_hill_down_dale
My hero is Ansel Adams. His images are stunning and were taken at a time technology was minimal. He really understood the importance of a capturing the full range of light in a high quality negative, and interpreting that negative in the darkroom. Our equivalent today is the RAW file and LightroomCC or similar photo processing software.
This site covers capturing a great RAW image, using LightroomCC, and 'How I do It' examples from my photos on Instagram.
I would encourage to be creative, and create what you want to create. Do not be bound by others but find your own style, put it out there in the public domain and let me know...
